Funky Psychedelics – about

First of all, I would like to say that creating this web site has been the most beautiful journey ever! I didn’t know a whole lot about the band before, even though I was a hard core fun, their music was the only thing I was interested in. After hearing a couple of their songs for the first time, I was obsessed to find their meaning. It took me some time to like them, to feel the eruption of sounds, melodies and emotions, to completely understand them and to realize how much I can relate to every one of their songs. And that’s how it all began.

After hearing almost everything they have ever created, over and over again, for the first time, I had a desire to meet Anthony, to see what has driven him to write these lyrics and what they mean to him. I’ve been doing a lot of researches on his childhood, his life, his past and present and soon enough I realized how lovable this man was and how extraordinary was his life story. After a while I’ve also found out that the rest of the Red Hot Chili Peppers are just as interesting as the front man. ‘Getting to know them’ and reading about their life stories, watching interviews and concerts, and every other material I could put my hands on, was very exciting and fulfilling, and it made me understand and connect with their music much better. Now I can’t imagine a single day without listening to their melodies and singing along with them. The same song can make happy at times, while other times it’ll just make me cry – and that’s the real eruption of emotions I feel every time I hear them play.

When I started working on this small Red Hot Chili Peppers’ tribute, to my big surprise, I didn’t find a whole lot of other web sites about them. Even those that I have found, were very old and have not been updated for ages. Even though they are an older band, I certainly do not believe that their time has passed. They are still creating beautiful music and they still deserve our attention. Thus, I have decided to share everything I have collected with other fans.

I have put a lot of effort into this website, so please, do not misuse its content in any way and do not claim my work as yours.
